Cheesy Cheese Bread!

Early in the 60's I was at a party where this bread was served.  I have been making it ever since, and still love it just as much.  It is very rich, so we don't have it often.  It is so easy to make, and I think you will love it, especially if you love cheese!!
All you need is a loaf of French bread, mayonnaise, green onions, grated cheddar cheese and butter. (see recipe below)
The first step is to cut your bread in half length wise, butter both sides, then cut across, but not all the way through.

The next step is to mix the grated cheddar cheese, the chopped green onions (green and white parts) with just enough mayonnaise to hold it all together.

Next, just spread the cheese mixture over the bread.  It already looks good enough to eat, but just wait!!

Now put it in the broiler, and watch carefully.  The cheese mixture will start to bubble and brown, and the smell will make your mouth water. When nicely browned, remove from oven and carefully cut through the pieces.

We love this bread with a great bar-be-cue and salad.  I hope you enjoy this recipe, and I will bet you can't eat just one piece!!

Ingredients:

1 loaf french bread
 Butter
1 pound cheddar cheese, grated
1 bunch green onions, chopped
1/2 to 3/4 cup mayonnaise

So easy and so yummy!!!

Today I made my first recipe from something I pinned on Pinterest.  It was a delicious pork tenderloin which we all enjoyed.  Looking forward to trying a few more. We took the kids to the park today because it was such a beautiful day.  Supposed to be about 42 degrees tomorrow!!

OK...this is my first post on my new blog...I have learned so much in the last 2 days about my computer and all the things it can do!!  Thanks to my granddaughter, Kristi for all the help.  I just hope I can remember at least some of it when I get home!  She helped me organize all of my photos, which were wherever they happened to land before. I was able to get my new e-mail address to everyone in my contacts, and GUESS WHAT?....I heard back from some long lost friends, which was wonderful....Funny how that communication thing works, is't it??
I am still in Kansas until Dec.8th having fun with my great grandchildren.

I hope to have a couple of really yummy recipes posted soon, so stay tuned.
